Harrington Seed Destructor Testing

Researchers at the University of Illinois and USDA-ARS in Urbana, IL recently took their Harrington Seed Destructor for a spin through waterhemp-infested soybean and corn test plots to evaluate how well it performs at destroying waterhemp seeds. This is the first season that this HSD has been tested in-field in Illinois, and we look forward to seeing the results. The HSD has the potential to be a powerful tool for eliminating the seeds from escaped weeds at harvest, including challenging herbicide resistant weeds like waterhemp and Palmer Amaranth.
